Allow plenty of time as it is quite a time consuming job, you even have to remove the front bumper. |

It is not a difficult job just a bit of a fiddle and time consuming. The nuts behind the bumper do tend to rust up and the bolts are held captive by the pastic heater casing the other side. You may well need someone to help you at this stage so you can get a spanner on the bolts as they do tend to turn in the plastic casing. |

I would agree with that you don't want ice on the inside of your windscreen
Should have mentioned before. If your cooling system has not been flushed recently do it at the same time or your heater matrix will clog up again in no time. Also replace the top and bottom rad hoses if they are suspect and also the heater flow and return rubber reinforced hose. You can buy it by the metre and the size you want is 1/2 inch.
Refilled the system with distilled/deionized water if you live in a hard water area. Oh and don't forget the antifreeze.
A cooling system in good order should require no topping up between 6000 mile service intervals. |

| I live in a hard water area and always use rainwater from the water butt in the cooling system. |

Sorry don't have any photos but it is just like a miniature radiator. It is located behind the pastic casing held together with spring clips amongst other things. If you look under the front of your van you will see where the rubber flow and return pipes connect to the piping on the matrix.
Perhaps someone else can help with photos? |
