Hello!
My name's Paul, I live just South of London, and I bought my first Rascal a few months ago.
I love it, but I didn't to begin with
It was small, was a pain to start, and looked well scrappy, lol.
That was then, this is now...
It now has new paint, new ply, new plugs, new battery, working horns, new tyres, and a new clutch.
On the down side(s), my tools get wet, and my friends ask why I'm still driving a rollerskate, lol.
Just bought a transit minibus (new girlfriend + 4 kids), and left the tipper parked up for 2 weeks.
I decided to take it out for a little run lastnight,
and it started instantly, and I was grinning the whole time I was behind the wheel. What a great little motor. Love it
Unfortunately, it has to go.
I'm gutted, after putting so much time and effort into it,
and the missus is not happy,
she used to laugh her head off - getting in it with tools at her feet,
dog on her lap, no room for elbows, lol.
Do not fear, I will get a van soon, to do some proper mods, I've got so many ideas
Take care, have fun, and enjoy your rascalling you rascals.
Paul |

WOW! They are quite rare these days. And yours is a bit different to the other tippers I've seen as the convertion has retained the original pickup bed (some use an aftermarket fabricated bed). The only down side with these really useful little tippers is the extra weight of the tipper body reduces the payload. Yours looks like it's an ex local authority truck like mine. Mine's just a pickup though. |

Hi Bollockmaster (?!)
Yes, original bed, raised on large box section,
quite some work had gone into it!
I got it from a guy in Croydon,
and have a feeling it was an ex.Croydon Council cage tipper.
The cab had been sprayed before I got it,
and remains of the original yellow could be seen in places.
You're right about the extra weight,
it used a fair bit of juice!
It has now gone to work on a site in Southampton. |

Don't worry it's not a gay thing
Last time I saw one it was being used as a 'Convoy Escort' in overnight roadworks on the A34 near Newbury. |
