I just got my MOT back and its not pretty.

I'm in need of a nearside front shock absorber for a 1991 reg bedford rascal and nearside front coil spring too. Does anyone have one?

Plus there is some welding that needs doing front (both sides inner sill) and
offside front subframe mounting area.

Does anyone know someone in the Leeds/Bradford area who could do this as my garage says they cant find the part/cant make the panels that's needed...........muchos grassiass......dizzee git

Hi there Dizzee, you can get the shocks and springs in any good motor factors.. for repair panels try Hadrian body panels...or...pop-on body panels.
good luck

ok thanks that sounds good....i am off to see a guy in Bradford called Fast Car Clinic on Ingleby Road and see what he says...I spoke to the guy at bedford rascal .com (Tim) and he asked me to email him a photograph of underneath the arches (song coming along Smile) and he can supply me with the arches but if it needs wleding further back than that its going to be pricey........wooooooooo....so im selling all my wares on ebay...Smile

Ill see what the guy in Bradford says and post back as I didnt realise how hard it would be to get it through its MOT...

Tim also says he can supply me with second hand suspension which will be tested for leaks and bounciness...what do you think?

Hi again Very Happy Tim will have the suspension parts you require, also the arches... To save yourself some cash you could consider doing the welding yourself. A mig can be bought cheap on ebay.

I'M SUPRISED THE SHOCKER HAS GONE. TO DATE I HAVE NEVER SEEN A DEFECTIVE SHOCKER ON A RASCAL. MAYBE THE MOT MAN WAS A BIT HARD ON YOU.
