| The rear tailgate proved a bit difficult to slam shut this afternoon, and then a tiny (broken) spring fell out onto the ground. Drat it! I guess that means a complete door catch then unless someone here is breaking one and can let me have the spring or catch. I really need the van for work on Monday morning. |

| Hi Paul, funny enough exactly the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I managed to get one via a fella on ebay breaking a van, I just emailed him explaining exactly what bit and we struck a deal (a few quid), although you obviously won't get one for monday this way. |

Where in Kent are you? The spring, I guess there's only one, is about 1/2" round with a pair of tags on it only one tag is missing. I'm asking this just to make sure that it's OK and not just fallen out. There actually a Suzuki dealer in Larkfield but I can't see them being open on a Sunday morning. |

| Sorry, forgot to say that is the same bit that broke on mine - i never did find the bit of wire which broke off the spring! If you do get hold of one it is a real easy two minute job to change. |

Matty
I was born in Ramsgate right behind the Granville Hotel on the East Cliff and went to school at Dane Court exactly fifty years ago.
I'm glad the spring is easy to replace, as it's raining here, my gardening business won't start tomorrow anyway now. Too wet.
I've emailed www.bedfordrascal.com for the spring. |

| Small world eh! I was a Dane Court boy myself and have always lived in Broadstairs. Good luck with the catch! |

In the end it was easier to go to the local Suzuki dealer, Walldonway at Larkfield, and buy a new catch for £20.88. They got hold of one within 24hrs. On inspection I see there are three almost identical coil springs in there. When I fit it, it'll be the shiniest and newest thing on the van |
